2011 TRAIL RUNNER TROPHY SERIES, presented by GORE-TEX
What is it?
The Trail Runner Trophy Series is a points-based series of 139 trail races in the United States and Canada (click here
for a list of 2011 races). All events are divided into two categories:
Non-marathon (races less than 26 miles) and Marathon & Longer (26
miles and longer) distances. All races take place between March 1 and
September 30, 2011.
How To Enter
Anyone who finishes a Trail Runner Trophy Series Races is
automatically entered. Each participant will earn points for completing a
race and bonus points for finishing in the top three. Click here for complete rules.
Track Your Points
Once the 2011 Trophy Series is underway and we begin collecting race
results (late March), you will be able to view the most current Trophy
Series standings here.
Top Trail Fiends
The man and woman who run the greatest number of Trophy Series races each win a spot at the 2012 Get Your Running Legs On Trail Running Week at Nipika Mountain Resort, located in the Canadian Rockies between Radium Hot Springs, B.C. and Banff, Alberta.
The camp takes place in May and includes accommodations, meals and
exciting daily programs with running experts. Instruction will be
offered in running technique, training principles, environmental
awareness and safety, yoga, Pilates, shoe fitting and running equipment.

The man and woman who run the greatest number of Trophy Series miles
each win a spot at a 2012 Dreamchasers trail-running camp. Details on
location and dates to be announced shortly. For more information about

Trail Runners of the Year
The Marathon & Longer (races 26 miles and longer) Trail
Runner of the Year awards will go to the male and female with the most
Trophy Series points in that category. They will receive prize packages
courtesy of Trophy Series sponsors and be profiled in Trail Runner magazine.
The Non-marathon (races less than 26 miles) Trail Runner of the Year
awards will go to the male and female with the most Trophy Series points
in that category. They will receive prize packages courtesy of Trophy
Series sponsors and be profiled in Trail Runner magazine.
Age-Group Winners and Runners-Up
The male and female Non-marathon Division runners with the most points
in their respective age groups will win prize packages courtesy of
Trophy Series sponsors.
The second- and third-place winners in the Marathon and Longer Division
will receive prize packages courtesy of Trophy Series sponsors.
Raffle Winner(s)
At least one additional winner will be chosen randomly from all Trophy
Series participants. The Raffle winner(s) will receive a prize package
courtesy of Trophy Series sponsors.
